Privacy Policy

What Private RV Sites collects, why, and what we never do with it. Last updated October 20, 2026.

What we collect

  • Accounts: your name and email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store or see your plain password). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us.
  • Newsletter: your email address when you subscribe — with a confirmation step, so nobody can sign you up but you.
  • Listings: hosts give a property address, a description of the pad and hookups, photos, and a nightly price. Your street address is never shown publicly — listings display only the town, county, and state. The address is used only to place the listing in the right area and to keep the map of areas accurate.
  • Messages: what you send through the contact form or by email.
  • Traffic basics: our server keeps standard logs (pages visited, rough visit counts) so we can tell what is working. We run no advertising trackers.

Cookies and your browser

One cookie keeps you signed in to your account. Your ♥ favorites are stored only in your own browser, never on our server. That's the whole list.

Who processes data for us

  • Resend sends and manages our email (confirmations and the weekly newsletter).
  • Stripe processes sponsor payments. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
  • Google, only if you choose "Sign in with Google."
  • US Census Bureau geocoder receives a listing's property address to determine its county and coordinates — the same public service anyone can use.

What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your personal information.
  • We never display a host's street address, anywhere, to anyone.
  • We don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

Your choices

  • Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
  • Email [email protected] to delete your account, your listings, or your newsletter subscription, or to ask what we hold about you. We'll handle it promptly.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll note the new date at the top of this page and mention it in the newsletter.
