Private RV sites in Florida

Private RV sites: Florida

The country's winter RV capital. Private sites here are palm-shaded pads on small farms, ranch land, and homesteads — from the Panhandle's pine woods through the springs country of Central Florida to the groves down south — an escape from packed snowbird resorts.

$45–85 / night · typical host rates Full hookups available Fits rigs up to 45 ft

Typical hookups

Better than almost anywhere: many Florida hosts have 30/50-amp, water, and sometimes sewer already installed, because hosting winter guests is a long tradition here. Ask about shade — it matters more than any hookup.

Rig size notes

Flat ground and straight roads take the biggest rigs — 45 feet is workable at most sites. The tight spots are older groves and island roads in the Keys.

Good to know

Winter (November–April) is high season and good sites go early. Summer brings daily afternoon storms, serious heat, and mosquitoes at dusk — a fan and a screened space earn their keep.

Own land here?

If you have a flat spot, a barn with power, or acreage near Florida, you could be earning from a rig or two parked on it — without running a campground.
