Private RV sites in The Southeast

Private RV sites: The Southeast

Pine woods, red-clay farm roads, and lake country from Kentucky and Tennessee down through the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. Private sites here run from horse farms in bluegrass country to clearings on family land near the big reservoir lakes.

$30–55 / night · typical host rates Electric + water typical Fits rigs up to 40 ft

Typical hookups

Electric and water are the norm — Southern farmsteads often have a 30/50-amp RV outlet already in place for family visits. Sewer is uncommon; municipal dump stations are easy to find.

Rig size notes

Flat to rolling country is kind to big rigs; most sites take 40 feet. The exception is the mountain counties of North Carolina and Tennessee — confirm grades there.

Good to know

Summer is hot and humid — shade is worth asking about specifically. Hurricane season (June–November) matters near the coasts; inland sites are the storm-season alternative.
